It's astounding how even though I am separated by thousands of miles from my family, I still manage to be on the same schedule as them. We wake, work, and go to sleep at roughly the same time. Today was Sunday, the day we usually go to church but I wasn't feeling well and decided to conserve my energy and sleep in to try and get well. Turns out, Aedyn, our second eldest was also sick and stayed home from church. Being that he is only eleven, it caused the remainder of the family to miss out on church too. But, I feel it was for the best. Eva wanted to drop the other three off and come back to get them but decided otherwise. Good choice. Don't want to have one them puking up in church and not have Eva there to take control of the situation.
The officer in charge of my work area asked if I would be interested in taking a NetApp training course that is coming up in a few weeks. I told him I would definitely be up for it. We work with NetApp gear here and I have no working knowledge of those systems. It would be great to get a foundational understanding of the gear. I am also trying to get out of Afghanistan for a few days to take a VMware class in Dubai. I should be hearing in the coming days how that is going to work out.
I watched the film Sucker Punch. It was pretty good for an action flick. I downloaded the soundtrack because Bjork has a song on it. I used to love her and the Sugar Cubes when I was in college.
Looking forward to doing some FaceTime with Eva and the kids here in a few minutes. Then it's bedtime for me. Have to get some sleep so I can wake up to go workout tomorrow.
